Personal Empowerment Tools

If we want to play big, stand for something, and not just play by the rules or go along with
things we need a strong and solid foundation that supports and sustains us.  That can come
from many areas - being physically fit, who we surround ourselves with, eating healthy and
of course, what we feed out minds with.    

And in doing all of this... I offer tools, the best way to use them is to trust yourself and make
them yours, make them work for you.  If the idea sounds good and it just doesn't feel right,
change it.  Trust your way.  Try it and check in with yourself.  For me... my lists change.  I
do them in color, I doodle on them, I have fun with them.  At one point my list was "Lisa's
Fabulous 15" I did three lists of five - Success, Gratitude and a variety of others, whatever I
wanted to magnify/appreciate that day.  This is for you, make it yours... and it doesn't have
to be perfect...this is a process of creating an internal environment that supports you in
having the business/life that you desire.

Acknowledging Our Daily Successes

At the end of the day acknowledging ourselves by
making a list of Five (5) of My Day's
Successes
.  It's easy in life to think about all that we have to do, instead of thinking of all
that we've accomplished.  Keeping a Success Log can help us focus on what we are doing,
what we're capable of doing and it just feels good.  

I have days where my list is easy.  I've accomplished so much and coming up with five is
simple.  There are other days where my best that day is not as great and it's more of a
challenge.  Those are the days I probably need the support the most.  On those days, when
I  find something good that I've done it's such a gift to myself to acknowledge me for the
little things.  The combination of the two gives me insight to what I value, what I consider an
accomplishment and who I am.  It's quite extraordinary to experience the affect.

The best time to do your list is just before you go to sleep.  Imagine how much better you'll
sleep thinking of your accomplishments versus what needs to be done, and jut think how
much more you can accomplish with a good rest and being supportive to yourself in this
way.  

Add to that a list of the good that happened in your day:


Gratitude Journal

Along with a list of 5 Successes, adding Five (5) Things I'm Grateful For each day.  What
was the good that happened in your day?  What were the blessings?  Who were the
blessings?  

At all times we have so much going on around us and it's our focus that determines much of
how we feel.  We can focus on the good or bad that happened in our day, what we did or
didn't do.  It's our choice and each will greatly effect our life.


Changing Our Thoughts

If we change our mind/our thoughts, we change our perspective.  If we change our
perspective, we change how we act and react, what we do and our choices, and actions... we
change our lives.  


So... ask yourself:

  • What are my empowering habits?

  • What do I do each day to support myself in being happy, healthy and
    feeling good about me?

  • What habits would I like to incorporate into your day?

  • What impact would those make in my life?

  • How will I start practicing these new empowering habits today?

Doing just a little at a time, starting small, a small new habit each week or month will add up
and can shift the direction of your life.  

You deserve it and only you can make it happen.  Go for it!
